A cozy and creamy white hot chocolate topped with fluffy marshmallow cream, perfect for warming up on winter nights. This easy recipe uses simple ingredients and offers a velvety texture with a gentle sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (480 ml) whole milk
  • 1 cup (170 g) white chocolate chips
  • ยฝ cup (120 g) marshmallow cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional garnishes: mini marshmallows, white chocolate shavings, cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Pour 2 cups (480 ml) of whole milk into a medium saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat until warm but not boiling, about 3 to 4 minutes, until steam rises and tiny bubbles form around the edges.
  2. Reduce heat to low. Add 1 cup (170 g) white chocolate chips to the warm milk. Stir constantly with a whisk until chocolate is fully melted and mixture is smooth, about 3 to 5 minutes. Avoid overheating.
  3. Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Taste and adjust salt if needed.
  4. Scoop ยฝ cup (120 g) marshmallow cream into a small bowl. Whisk briefly if you want it fluffier.
  5. Pour the hot chocolate into heatproof mugs. Generously dollop marshmallow cream on top, letting it melt slowly. Optionally sprinkle with mini marshmallows or white chocolate shavings.
  6. Enjoy immediately, sipping slowly.

Notes

Use quality white chocolate for smooth melting and rich flavor. Heat milk gently without boiling to avoid scalding. Whisk constantly to prevent clumping. Warm mugs before serving to keep drink hot longer. Marshmallow cream melts slower and creates a creamier topping than regular marshmallows. For vegan version, use plant-based milk, dairy-free white chocolate, and gelatin-free marshmallow cream or vegan marshmallows.
