Easy Frozen Peach Bourbon Slush - featured image

A refreshing and easy-to-make frozen peach bourbon slush that requires no blender, perfect for hot summer evenings with a natural peach flavor and a gentle bourbon kick.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (300g) frozen sliced peaches
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons (15-30ml) honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) cold water
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) ice cubes (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Freeze the peaches: Slice fresh peaches thinly and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Mash the peaches: Place frozen peach slices into a medium mixing bowl and mash with a fork or potato masher until chunky and slush-like, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add liquids: Pour in bourbon, fresh lemon juice, honey or maple syrup, and cold water. Stir gently to combine. Add ice cubes if desired for a frostier slush.
  4. Chill briefly: Place the bowl in the freezer for about 10 minutes to firm up the slush.
  5. Serve: Spoon the slush into glasses, garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired, and enjoy immediately.

Notes

If peaches are too hard to mash, let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes. Avoid over-mixing after adding bourbon to prevent melting the slush. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute bourbon with sparkling peach iced tea or sparkling water with peach nectar. Use maple syrup for a paleo-friendly sweetener. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 hours and let soften before serving.
