A quick and easy bourbon punch recipe with just five simple ingredients, perfect for festive gatherings and parties. This punch balances bourbon’s warm caramel notes with fresh citrus and a touch of sweetness for a smooth, refreshing drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Kentucky bourbon (e.g., Bulleit Bourbon)
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 45 medium lemons)
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice (about 23 medium oranges)
  • 3 cups ginger ale (e.g., Canada Dry)
  • 1/2 cup simple syrup (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Juice fresh lemons and oranges to get about 1 cup lemon juice and 1 cup orange juice.
  2. In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine 2 cups Kentucky bourbon with 1/2 cup simple syrup.
  3. Add the fresh lemon and orange juices to the bourbon and syrup mixture and stir gently to combine.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
  5. Just before serving, add 3 cups chilled ginger ale to the punch bowl and stir gently to maintain fizz.
  6. Garnish with ice cubes or an ice ring, lemon and orange slices, and fresh mint sprigs. Serve immediately.

Notes

Prepare the bourbon, syrup, and citrus juice base up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerate. Add ginger ale and ice just before serving to keep the fizz fresh. Use large ice cubes or an ice ring with frozen fruit to prevent dilution. Adjust simple syrup to taste for sweetness. Fresh citrus juice is recommended for best flavor.
