Electric Watermelon Limeade Splash

electric watermelon limeade

The Electric Watermelon Limeade Splash is a vibrant, refreshing summer drink featuring sweet watermelon, tangy lime, and a fizzy sparkle from club soda or sparkling water. It’s easy to make, naturally hydrating, and perfect for parties, BBQs, or cooling off on a hot day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh seedless watermelon, cubed (about half a medium watermelon)
  • 34 limes (about 1/2 cup fresh lime juice)
  • 23 tablespoons simple syrup (or honey/agave, to taste)
  • 2 cups sparkling water or club soda
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Ice cubes or crushed ice

Instructions

  1. Chop the watermelon into cubes, removing the rind and any large seeds.
  2. Juice the limes to yield about 1/2 cup of fresh lime juice.
  3. Add watermelon cubes and lime juice to a blender. Add 2-3 tablespoons of simple syrup (or honey/agave). Blend until completely smooth.
  4. Optional: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher for a smoother texture.
  5. Add 2 cups of sparkling water or club soda to the pitcher and gently stir to combine.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed by adding more syrup or lime juice.
  7. Fill tall glasses with ice cubes or crushed ice. Pour the watermelon limeade over the ice.
  8. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and, if desired, a wedge of watermelon or lime wheel.

Notes

For best results, chill your watermelon and limes before making the drink. Adjust sweetness based on your watermelonโ€™s ripeness. For a slushy version, freeze watermelon cubes before blending. Add sparkling water just before serving to keep the fizz. Garnish with mint, lime, or berries for extra flair.
