Elegant Champagne Elderflower Sparkler Cocktail

A light, refreshing, and elegant cocktail combining champagne, elderflower liqueur, and a splash of soda water, perfect for summer parties and warm evenings.

Ingredients

  • Champagne or Sparkling Wine (4-5 oz / 120-150 ml per cocktail, brut or extra dry)
  • Elderflower Liqueur (1 oz / 30 ml per cocktail)
  • Soda Water or Sparkling Mineral Water (1-2 oz / 30-60 ml per cocktail)
  • Fresh Lemon Juice (optional, ยฝ tsp / 2.5 ml per cocktail)
  • Lemon Twist or Fresh Edible Flowers (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Chill your champagne flutes and ingredients in the fridge or freezer for 10-15 minutes before serving.
  2. Pour 1 ounce (30 ml) of elderflower liqueur into each flute.
  3. Add about ยฝ teaspoon (2.5 ml) of freshly squeezed lemon juice into each glass, if desired.
  4. Slowly pour 4-5 ounces (120-150 ml) of champagne or sparkling wine into each flute, pouring gently down the side of the glass.
  5. Top off each drink with 1-2 ounces (30-60 ml) of chilled soda water or sparkling mineral water.
  6. Gently stir once or twice with a cocktail stirrer or spoon to mix without losing bubbles.
  7. Garnish with a lemon twist or a few edible flowers and serve immediately.

Notes

Pour champagne slowly down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles. Keep all ingredients chilled before mixing. Stir gently to avoid losing fizz. Use high-quality elderflower liqueur like St-Germain for best flavor. Prepare elderflower liqueur and lemon juice mix ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours; add champagne and soda water just before serving.
