A quick and easy sparkling cranberry punch perfect for Thanksgiving celebrations, combining tart cranberries, fresh citrus juices, and bubbly sparkling water for a refreshing and festive drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 ½ cups (360 ml) freshly squeezed orange juice
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ½ cup (120 ml) simple syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 3 cups (720 ml) chilled sparkling water
  • ½ cup whole cranberries (for garnish)
  • 1 medium orange, sliced (for garnish)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make the simple syrup: In a small saucepan, combine ½ cup granulated sugar with ½ cup water. Heat gently over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Set aside to cool (about 5 minutes). Skip if using store-bought syrup.
  2. Prepare the citrus juices: Juice 3 large oranges to yield about 1 ½ cups fresh orange juice. Juice 2 limes for approximately ¼ cup fresh lime juice. Strain seeds out as needed.
  3. Mix base ingredients: In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine the fresh orange juice, lime juice, and cooled simple syrup. Stir well to blend.
  4. Add fresh cranberries: Toss in 1 cup fresh cranberries. Let sit for 10 minutes to meld flavors.
  5. Chill the mixture: Refrigerate the punch base for at least 30 minutes before serving. Optionally add ice cubes if short on time, but this may dilute flavor.
  6. Just before serving, add sparkling water: Pour in 3 cups chilled sparkling water and gently stir to combine without losing bubbles.
  7. Garnish: Float orange slices, whole cranberries, and rosemary sprigs on top for aroma and festive appearance.
  8. Serve: Ladle into glasses filled with ice as guests arrive.

Notes

Add sparkling water just before serving to keep bubbles lively. Use fresh citrus juice for best flavor. Adjust simple syrup sweetness to taste. Garnishes add aroma and festive look. Store base mixture (without sparkling water) refrigerated up to 2 days. Leftover punch with sparkling water should be consumed within 12 hours. Reheating is not recommended.
