  • 3 packets (about 21 grams total) unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 1/2 cups (360 ml) boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups (360 ml) cold water or juice
  • 3 packets (3 oz or 85 grams each) flavored gelatin in chosen team colors (e.g., cherry red, lime green, grape purple)
  • 1 1/2 cups (360 ml) vodka or preferred clear spirit
  • 1–2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
  • Non-stick spray or oil for greasing molds

Instructions

  1. Dissolve one packet (7 grams) of unflavored gelatin into 1/2 cup (120 ml) boiling water, stirring for 1-2 minutes until fully dissolved.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix one flavored gelatin packet (3 oz / 85 g) with 1/2 cup (120 ml) cold water or juice and stir to combine.
  3. Slowly pour the dissolved unflavored gelatin into the flavored gelatin mixture while stirring constantly. Add 1/2 cup (120 ml) vodka and mix gently.
  4. Lightly grease molds or cups. Pour the first color mixture into each cup, filling about one-third full. Refrigerate for 30-45 minutes until firm but slightly tacky.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 for the second and third layers using fresh gelatin packets and unflavored gelatin dissolutions. Pour each layer gently over the back of a spoon to avoid mixing.
  6. After pouring the last layer, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to fully set.
  7. To serve, gently run a warm, damp cloth around the edges or peel off disposable cups. Serve chilled.

Notes

Use vibrant gelatin colors for best results. Pour layers slowly over the back of a spoon to avoid mixing. Keep vodka around 25% of total liquid per layer to ensure proper setting. For non-alcoholic versions, replace vodka with extra juice or soda. Store in fridge up to 3 days or freeze up to 1 month. Do not reheat.
