A quick and easy spicy warm cocktail combining Fireball cinnamon whiskey with apple cider and fresh lemon juice, perfect for cozy fall and winter evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey
  • 6 ounces apple cider (fresh or store-bought, preferably unfiltered)
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon (for garnish)
  • Thinly sliced apple slices (for garnish)
  • 23 whole cloves (optional)
  • 1 star anise pod (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour 6 ounces of apple cider into a small saucepan. Add whole cloves and star anise if using.
  2. Heat over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until just steaming (do not boil).
  3. While the cider is warming, pour 2 ounces of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey into each heatproof glass or mug.
  4. Squeeze 1/2 ounce of fresh lemon juice into the whiskey.
  5. Stir in 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup if desired, mixing until fully dissolved.
  6. Remove the warmed cider from heat, strain out the cloves and star anise, then pour the cider into the prepared glasses over the whiskey mixture.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top and add a thin apple slice to each glass for garnish.
  8. Sip slowly and savor the spicy warmth.

Notes

Keep the heat low to avoid boiling off the alcohol or scorching the cider. For a batch, multiply ingredients and keep warm on low heat or in a slow cooker. Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor. Adjust sweetness to taste. Store leftover cider mixture without whiskey in the fridge up to 3 days and reheat gently before serving.
