A quick and easy green detox smoothie made with just five fresh ingredients, perfect for a natural vitality boost any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh spinach leaves (loosely packed)
  • 1 medium ripe banana (peeled)
  • ยฝ medium cucumber (peeled and roughly chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about ยฝ lemon)
  • 1 cup filtered water or coconut water (240 ml)

Instructions

  1. Wash the spinach and cucumber thoroughly.
  2. Chop the cucumber into roughly 1-inch chunks.
  3. Peel the banana and break it into pieces.
  4. Squeeze fresh lemon juice from about half a lemon.
  5. Add spinach, banana pieces, cucumber chunks, lemon juice, and water (or coconut water) to the blender.
  6. Blend on high for 45 seconds to 1 minute, stopping halfway to scrape down the sides.
  7. Taste and add a touch of honey or maple syrup if desired for extra sweetness.
  8. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately, optionally garnished with a lemon slice or fresh mint.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for natural sweetness and fresh lemon juice for best flavor. Blend long enough to avoid gritty texture. Adjust thickness by adding water or ice cubes as needed. Store in fridge up to 24 hours in airtight container; best enjoyed fresh.
