A vibrant and natural energy shot made from fresh beet root, lemon, and ginger that delivers a quick, nutritious boost without caffeine jitters.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium fresh beet root (about 150g), peeled and roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (from 1 medium lemon)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1 cup (240 ml) filtered water
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Peel the beet root using a vegetable peeler and roughly chop into 1-inch chunks.
  2. Peel and finely grate about 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger; set aside.
  3. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out about 2 tablespoons of juice, removing seeds.
  4. Add beet chunks, grated ginger, lemon juice, filtered water, sea salt, and honey or maple syrup (if using) into a high-speed blender.
  5. Blend on high speed for about 1 minute until smooth and vibrant.
  6. Optionally strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag for a smoother texture.
  7. Pour into shot glasses or small bottles and serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 days.

Notes

Use organic beets for the cleanest taste. Fresh ginger is preferred over ground ginger for best flavor. Drink the shot within 30 minutes for optimal freshness and nutrient potency. Refrigerate leftovers in airtight containers for up to 2 days; avoid freezing. Adjust sweetness with honey or maple syrup, or use agave/date syrup for vegan options. A splash of cold brew coffee can be added for caffeine.
