A refreshing detox water combining fresh blueberries and lemon slices infused in filtered water, perfect for hydration and a natural energy boost.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh blueberries
  • 1 large lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 liter (4 cups) filtered water
  • 68 fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • 12 teaspoons honey or agave syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse 1 cup (150 g) of fresh blueberries under cold water.
  2. Thinly slice 1 large lemon into rounds, removing any seeds.
  3. If using, gently clap 6-8 fresh mint leaves between your palms to release aroma.
  4. Place blueberries, lemon slices, and mint leaves (if using) into a large glass pitcher or jar.
  5. Pour 1 liter (4 cups) of filtered water over the fruit and herbs.
  6. Gently stir with a wooden spoon to combine flavors without bruising the berries.
  7. If desired, stir in 1-2 teaspoons of honey or agave syrup for sweetness.
  8. Cover the pitcher loosely and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, ideally 4-6 hours or overnight for best flavor.
  9. Before serving, gently stir the water and strain if preferred to remove berry bits and lemon seeds.
  10. Serve chilled, optionally over ice cubes.

Notes

Use fresh, firm blueberries and thinly sliced lemons for best flavor. Avoid over-muddling berries to prevent cloudiness. Infuse water for at least 2 hours, preferably 4-6 hours or overnight. Consume within 24-48 hours for optimal freshness. Glass pitchers are preferred to avoid flavor absorption. Frozen blueberries can be used as a chill alternative without diluting flavor.
