A quick and easy fresh juice shot combining carrots, ginger, turmeric, lemon, and black pepper for a natural energy boost without caffeine.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium fresh carrots, peeled
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger root, peeled
  • 1-inch piece fresh turmeric root, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons filtered water (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel the carrots, ginger, and turmeric root carefully. Chop into smaller pieces that fit your juicer or blender chute. (About 5 minutes)
  2. If using a juicer, feed the carrots, ginger, and turmeric through the machine, collecting the juice in a clean glass or jug.
  3. If using a blender, add chopped ingredients and 2 tablespoons of filtered water. Blend on high for 30 seconds, then strain through a fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag into a bowl, pressing gently to extract maximum liquid.
  4. Stir in 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice and a pinch of black pepper.
  5. Mix and taste. Add a splash of water if too spicy or intense.
  6. Pour into small shot glasses and serve immediately. Refrigerate leftovers up to 24 hours.

Notes

Peel turmeric with a spoon to avoid stains. Use black pepper to enhance turmeric absorption. Adjust ginger amount to taste. Drink fresh for best flavor and nutrient potency. Refrigerate leftovers up to 24 hours. Clean equipment promptly to avoid turmeric stains.
