Fresh Cucumber Mint Detox Water Recipe for Easy Rejuvenation

A simple, refreshing detox water infused with cucumber, mint, and lemon that hydrates and rejuvenates without added sugars or fuss.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium cucumber, thinly sliced (English cucumber preferred)
  • 1012 fresh mint leaves, gently bruised
  • 1 medium lemon, thinly sliced (organic if possible)
  • 1 quart (4 cups) filtered water, cold or room temperature
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and thinly slice the cucumber and lemon (about 1/4 inch or 6 mm thick). Wash the mint leaves.
  2. Place the mint leaves in a pitcher and gently muddle with a spoon or muddler to release oils without pulverizing.
  3. Add the cucumber and lemon slices to the pitcher with the muddled mint.
  4. Pour in 1 quart (4 cups) of filtered water and stir gently to combine.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour; for best flavor, infuse for 2-3 hours or overnight.
  6. Serve chilled over ice cubes if desired, garnished with additional mint sprigs or lemon wedges.

Notes

Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for best flavor. Do not over-muddle mint to avoid bitterness. Thin slicing helps flavors infuse faster. Infuse water for up to 24 hours; beyond that, lemon may turn bitter and cucumber soggy. For extra chill without dilution, freeze cucumber slices to use as ice cubes. Variations include swapping lemon for lime, adding berries, or using sparkling water.
