A quick and easy refreshing summer mocktail blending frozen strawberries, fresh lime juice, and mint for a light, icy, and flavorful drink perfect for sunny days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (about 300g) frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) fresh lime juice (about 2 medium limes)
  • 1012 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) simple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup (240ml) cold water or sparkling water
  • Ice cubes (optional, for extra chill and thickness)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the fresh mint leaves gently under cold water and pat dry. Use a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon to bruise the leaves lightly to release aromatic oils. Set aside.
  2. Roll the limes on the counter with your palm to loosen the juice, then cut and squeeze out about 1/4 cup (60ml) of fresh juice. Remove seeds to avoid bitterness.
  3. Add frozen strawberries, fresh lime juice, muddled mint leaves, simple syrup or honey, and cold water or sparkling water to the blender. Add ice cubes if a frostier texture is desired.
  4. Blend on high or pulse for 30-45 seconds until smooth and slushy. Adjust texture by adding more water if too thick or more frozen strawberries/ice if too thin.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or lime juice as needed, keeping in mind chilling dulls flavors slightly.
  6. Pour into tall glasses and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a thin lime wheel on the rim. Optionally, rim the glass with sugar.

Notes

Freeze fresh strawberries yourself for best flavor. Muddle mint gently to avoid bitterness. Adjust sweetness gradually. Use sparkling water for fizz and add it last or blend briefly to keep bubbles. Serve immediately for best taste and texture. If preparing ahead, refrigerate and stir or re-blend before serving.
