A quick, healthy, and refreshing watermelon mint slush made with just three simple ingredients. Perfect for hot days, this icy smoothie combines frozen watermelon, fresh mint, and lime juice for a naturally sweet and hydrating treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups (450 grams) frozen watermelon chunks
  • 10 to 12 fresh mint leaves, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh lime juice
  • Optional: drizzle of honey or agave syrup
  • Optional: splash of sparkling water for fizz

Instructions

  1. Freeze the Watermelon: Cut fresh watermelon into 1-inch cubes. Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Prep the Mint: Rinse fresh mint leaves under cold water and pat dry. Roughly chop about 10 to 12 leaves.
  3. Juice the Lime: Squeeze fresh limes to get 2 tablespoons (about 30 ml) of juice.
  4. Blend Ingredients: In a high-speed blender, add frozen watermelon chunks, chopped mint leaves, and lime juice. Pulse a few times, then blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds until smooth and slushy. Add a splash of water or lime juice if needed to help blending.
  5. Taste and Adjust: Taste the slush and add more lime juice for brightness or a teaspoon of honey/agave if more sweetness is desired. Blend briefly again.
  6. Serve Immediately: Pour into chilled glasses and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint or a thin watermelon slice.

Notes

Use frozen watermelon chunks instead of ice cubes to avoid watering down the flavor. Pulse before blending to prevent blender blades from getting stuck. Serve immediately for best icy texture. For a fizzy twist, add sparkling water just before serving. If blender stalls, blend in smaller batches and give breaks.
