A vibrant, immune-boosting juice combining fresh orange juice with crunchy pomegranate seeds for a refreshing and healthy drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 medium-sized fresh oranges (Navel or Valencia recommended)
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds (fresh or thawed if frozen)
  • 12 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • A few sprigs fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • Ice cubes (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Roll each orange firmly on your countertop for about 30 seconds to release more juice, then slice in half crosswise.
  2. Use a citrus juicer to extract juice from all orange halves, yielding about 1 ยฝ to 2 cups (12-16 fl oz) of fresh juice. Strain if less pulp is desired.
  3. If not already prepared, remove pomegranate seeds from the fruit, rinse, and pat dry.
  4. Pour the fresh orange juice into a pitcher or mixing bowl and gently stir in the pomegranate seeds to distribute evenly without crushing them.
  5. Taste the juice and stir in 1-2 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup if a sweeter flavor is preferred.
  6. Serve immediately over ice cubes or chill in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
  7. Pour into glasses and enjoy the refreshing juice with bursts of pomegranate seeds.

Notes

Do not over-stir after adding pomegranate seeds to keep their texture intact. Add seeds just before serving if preparing juice ahead. Rolling oranges before juicing helps release more juice. Use ripe, fresh oranges for best flavor. To avoid mess when removing seeds, break pomegranate open underwater.
