A refreshing summer drink combining fresh peaches, mangoes, and green tea sweetened naturally with honey. This iced tea is vibrant, lightly sweet, and perfect for hot afternoons.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 green tea bags (Sencha or Jasmine recommended)
  • 2 medium fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 large ripe mango, peeled and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons honey (local raw honey preferred)
  • 4 cups (1 liter) filtered or spring water
  • Ice cubes, as needed for serving
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups (1 liter) of filtered water to a rolling boil in a saucepan or kettle (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool for 1 minute to about 175ยฐF (80ยฐC).
  2. Place the 3 green tea bags in a heatproof pitcher and pour the hot water over them. Steep for exactly 3 minutes, then remove and discard the tea bags.
  3. While the tea steeps, blend the peeled and sliced peaches and chopped mango in a blender until smooth (30 seconds to 1 minute). For a pulp-free drink, strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve.
  4. Stir 3 tablespoons of honey into the warm tea until completely dissolved.
  5. Pour the peach-mango puree into the tea and stir well to combine. Adjust sweetness if desired by adding more honey.
  6. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to chill and let flavors meld. Alternatively, add plenty of ice cubes to chill quickly.
  7. Serve over ice cubes in glasses, garnished with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Use water cooled to about 175ยฐF (80ยฐC) to avoid bitterness. Steep tea for exactly 3 minutes. Blend fruit separately for best flavor and texture. Honey dissolves best in warm tea. Chill for at least 1 hour for optimal flavor. Substitute nectarines or frozen peaches if fresh peaches are unavailable. For vegan option, replace honey with agave or maple syrup.
