A quick and refreshing summer cocktail featuring ripe peaches, fresh mint, dry white wine, and sparkling water. Perfect for casual gatherings and easy to prepare in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • 2 large ripe peaches, sliced thinly
  • 1012 fresh mint leaves, lightly torn
  • 2 ounces (60 ml) peach schnapps or peach liqueur (optional)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) sparkling water, plain or lightly flavored
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Ice cubes, enough to fill pitcher or glasses

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice 2 ripe peaches into thin wedges, about 1/4 inch thick. Set aside.
  2. Lightly tear 10-12 fresh mint leaves by hand to release oils; avoid chopping finely.
  3. In a large pitcher, pour the entire bottle of dry white wine (750 ml). Add 2 ounces (60 ml) peach schnapps or liqueur and 1 tablespoon (15 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Add the peach slices and torn mint leaves to the pitcher. Stir gently to mingle flavors without crushing the fruit.
  5. Refrigerate the sangria for at least 1 hour (up to 4 hours) to let flavors marry and mint infuse.
  6. Just before serving, add 1 cup (240 ml) sparkling water to the pitcher. Stir gently to keep bubbles.
  7. Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour sangria over the ice, and garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint and a peach slice.

Notes

Use ripe but firm peaches to avoid mushy sangria. Lightly tear mint leaves instead of chopping to prevent bitterness. Chill for at least 1 hour for best flavor. Adjust sweetness with honey or agave syrup if needed. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute wine and schnapps with peach juice and sparkling water.
