A light, refreshing margarita made with fresh lime juice, agave nectar, and tequila blanco, perfect for a guilt-free cocktail experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz (60 ml) Tequila Blanco (100% agave)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) Agave nectar
  • 2 oz (60 ml) Club soda
  • Ice
  • Coarse sea salt (for rimming, optional)
  • Lime wedge (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip it into a shallow plate of coarse sea salt. Set aside to let it dry slightly (about 2 minutes).
  2. Using a citrus juicer, squeeze fresh lime juice to get 1 oz (30 ml).
  3. Into a cocktail shaker, pour 2 oz (60 ml) tequila blanco, 1 oz (30 ml) fresh lime juice, and 1/2 oz (15 ml) agave nectar.
  4. Fill the shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  5. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the shaker is cold and frosty.
  6. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice cubes.
  7. Add 2 oz (60 ml) club soda gently to maintain the fizz.
  8. Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim or dropped into the glass.

Notes

If agave nectar is thick or crystallized, warm it slightly before measuring. Avoid shaking too long to prevent dilution. Fresh lime juice is essential for brightness. For a sugar-free option, replace agave nectar with stevia drops. Rim glass with salt or chili powder for extra flavor. Prepare lime juice ahead and chill glasses for best results.
