A quick, easy, and refreshing tropical smoothie combining ripe mango, fresh pineapple, and a hint of lime and ginger for a perfect summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup ripe mango, cubed (Ataulfo or Haden recommended)
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, chopped (or frozen)
  • 1/2 ripe banana (optional)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (or dairy-free coconut yogurt)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh grated ginger (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup cold water or coconut water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit: peel and cube 1 ripe mango and chop about 1 cup of fresh pineapple into bite-sized pieces. Peel and slice half a ripe banana if using.
  2. Add mango, pineapple, banana, and 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt into the blender.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice and 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger.
  4. Drizzle in 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup; adjust sweetness later if needed.
  5. Add 1/2 cup ice cubes and 1/2 cup cold water or coconut water.
  6. Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes, stopping once or twice to scrape down the sides until smooth and creamy.
  7. Taste and adjust consistency or sweetness by adding more water or honey if desired.
  8. Serve immediately in chilled glasses, optionally garnished with a pineapple wedge or fresh mint.

Notes

Use ripe fruit for best flavor. If mango is underripe, add more banana for sweetness. Add liquids gradually to avoid watery smoothie. Fresh lime juice brightens flavors. Ginger is optional but adds a subtle kick. For vegan version, substitute Greek yogurt with coconut or almond yogurt and use maple syrup instead of honey.
