A bright, flavorful, and refreshing non-alcoholic summer spritz combining sweet mango, subtle jalapeño heat, sparkling water, and a smoky Tajin rim.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large ripe mango or 1 ½ cups (300g) peeled and diced
  • ½ fresh jalapeño, sliced thin (seeds optional)
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 cup (240ml) chilled sparkling water
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) agave syrup or honey (optional)
  • Tajin seasoning for rimming the glass
  • Ice cubes as needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tajin Rim: Pour a generous layer of Tajin seasoning onto a shallow plate. Rub the rim of each glass with a lime wedge to moisten, then dip the rim into the Tajin, twisting gently to coat evenly. Set glasses aside.
  2. Make the Mango Jalapeño Puree: In a blender, combine peeled and diced mango, sliced jalapeño (with or without seeds), and freshly squeezed lime juice. Blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 30-45 seconds. If mango is less sweet, add agave syrup or honey and blend briefly again.
  3. Assemble the Spritz: Fill each Tajin-rimmed glass halfway with ice cubes. Pour about ½ cup (120ml) of the mango jalapeño puree over the ice. Top off with ½ cup (120ml) chilled sparkling water. Stir gently to combine. Garnish with a thin jalapeño slice or lime wheel if desired.

Notes

Let the mango puree chill for about 10 minutes before serving for tighter flavors. Adjust jalapeño seeds to control heat. If puree is too thick, add a splash of cold water or more sparkling water. For smoother texture, strain puree through a fine mesh sieve. Prepare puree up to 48 hours ahead and add sparkling water and ice just before serving to keep fizz fresh.
