A refreshing and crisp virgin mojito mocktail made with fresh mint, lime, sugar, and sparkling water. Perfect for a quick, bubbly, and alcohol-free drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1012 fresh mint leaves, plus extra for garnish
  • 1 large lime or 2 small limes, juiced and sliced
  • 12 teaspoons granulated sugar (or honey/agave syrup as substitute)
  • 1 cup (8 fl oz / 240 ml) sparkling water or club soda
  • Crushed ice
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon simple syrup
  • Optional: fresh cucumber slices
  • Optional: mint-infused sugar

Instructions

  1. Rinse the fresh mint leaves and pat dry. Juice the lime and slice a few thin rounds for garnish.
  2. Place the mint leaves and 1-2 teaspoons of granulated sugar into a glass. Gently muddle to release the mint oils without tearing the leaves.
  3. Pour in the freshly squeezed lime juice and stir lightly to combine.
  4. Fill the glass about 3/4 full with crushed ice.
  5. Top with 1 cup (8 fl oz) of sparkling water or club soda. Stir gently to mix without flattening the bubbles.
  6. Garnish with lime slices and a sprig of fresh mint. Serve immediately with a straw or long spoon.

Notes

Muddle gently to avoid bitterness from mint stems. Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Serve immediately to enjoy the fizz. Crushed ice chills the drink quickly and melts slower. You can prepare the lime-mint base up to 24 hours ahead and add sparkling water and ice just before serving.
