A vibrant and refreshing holiday cocktail featuring tart cranberry juice, zesty lime, and a hint of sweetness, perfect for festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed ice
  • 3 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 4 oz cranberry juice (100% juice)
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • Granulated sugar (for rimming the glass and garnishing)
  • Fresh cranberries (for garnish)
  • Mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sugar rim: Pour granulated sugar onto a small plate. Run a wedge of lime around the rim of your glass, then dip the rim into the sugar to coat. Set aside.
  2. Make the sugared cranberries: Dip fresh cranberries in simple syrup, then roll them in sugar. Let them dry for about 10 minutes until the sugar hardens.
  3. Blend the margarita: In a blender, combine 2 cups of crushed ice, 3 oz silver tequila, 1 oz orange liqueur, 4 oz cranberry juice, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and 1 oz simple syrup. Blend until smooth and frosty.
  4. Taste and adjust: Taste your margarita and adjust the sweetness by adding more simple syrup. If itโ€™s too tart, a splash of orange juice can balance it out.
  5. Pour and garnish: Pour the frosted margarita into your prepared glass. Garnish with sugared cranberries and a sprig of mint for a festive flair.
