A quick and easy frozen strawberry margarita pitcher that’s perfect for cookouts, featuring fresh strawberries, tequila, lime, and a touch of sweetness for a refreshing summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (600g) frozen strawberries
  • 1 ยฝ cups (360ml) silver tequila
  • ยฝ cup (120ml) triple sec or Cointreau
  • ยฝ cup (120ml) fresh lime juice
  • โ…“ cup (80ml) simple syrup
  • 3 cups (700g) ice cubes
  • Salt for rimming glasses (optional)
  • Fresh strawberries and lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by measuring frozen strawberries, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup. If using fresh strawberries, wash and hull them. Juice fresh limes.
  2. In a high-powered blender, add frozen strawberries, tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and ice cubes. Blend starting on low speed, gradually increasing to high until smooth and slushy, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Taste the margarita and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more simple syrup or lime juice as needed.
  4. Pour the blended margarita into a large pitcher. Serve immediately or chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes to enhance chill without melting.
  5. Optional: Rim glasses with fresh lime juice and dip in coarse salt. Garnish each glass with a strawberry slice and lime wedge.
  6. Serve the frozen strawberry margarita in prepared glasses. If mixture thickens after sitting, stir or pulse in blender before serving.

Notes

Use frozen strawberries for best frosty texture; if using fresh strawberries, add more ice. Use fresh lime juice for brightness. Adjust sweetness carefully to balance flavors. Chill pitcher and glasses beforehand to keep drinks cold longer. Avoid overblending to maintain slushy texture. Store leftovers in sealed container in fridge up to 24 hours; stir or re-blend before serving.
