This dreamy Iced Caramel Apple Cider Float is the ultimate cozy fall treat, combining tangy apple cider, rich caramel, and creamy vanilla ice cream for a dessert-like drink that’s both refreshing and indulgent. Perfect for autumn gatherings or a sweet afternoon pick-me-up, it’s easy to make and endlessly customizable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (8 oz) cold apple cider per serving
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling
  • 12 scoops vanilla ice cream (dairy-free if desired)
  • Ice (crushed or cubes)
  • Whipped cream (optional, dairy-free if needed)
  • Ground cinnamon or apple pie spice (optional, for garnish)
  • Thin apple slices (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Fill a tall glass about one-third full with ice.
  2. Drizzle caramel sauce generously around the inside of the glass.
  3. Pour 1 cup (8 oz) of cold apple cider into the glass, leaving room at the top.
  4. Add 1-2 scoops of vanilla ice cream on top of the cider.
  5. Top with whipped cream if desired.
  6. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or apple pie spice, apple slices, and an extra drizzle of caramel.
  7. Serve immediately with a straw and a long spoon. Stir gently before sipping if you prefer a blended float.

Notes

For best results, chill your cider and glasses before assembling. Use dairy-free ice cream and vegan caramel for a vegan version. Add a splash of bourbon or spiced rum for an adult twist. Only add ice cream right before serving to prevent melting. Garnishes are optional but add extra flavor and visual appeal.
