A refreshing and romantic twist on the classic cosmopolitan, featuring fresh pomegranate juice and a garnish of pomegranate seeds for a vibrant, tart flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz (60 ml) vodka (e.g., Titoโ€™s or Grey Goose)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) triple sec (e.g., Cointreau)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) pomegranate juice (fresh-pressed or 100% pure)
  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water)
  • A small handful of pomegranate seeds (for garnish)
  • Ice (for shaking and chilling)

Instructions

  1. Chill your martini glasses in the freezer for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Cut a fresh lime in half and squeeze out about 1 oz (30 ml) of juice, straining out seeds.
  3. Pour 2 oz (60 ml) vodka, 1 oz (30 ml) triple sec, 1.5 oz (45 ml) pomegranate juice, 1 oz (30 ml) fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz (15 ml) simple syrup into a cocktail shaker.
  4. Fill the shaker with ice cubes until about ยพ full.
  5. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled and slightly aerated.
  6. Strain the cocktail into the pre-chilled martini glasses, leaving ice behind.
  7. Garnish each glass with a few fresh pomegranate seeds.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Adjust simple syrup to taste if the cocktail is too tart. For a lighter version, use flavored vodka or reduce simple syrup. Sparkling water can be added for fizz. Chill glasses ahead to keep the cocktail cold longer. Shake vigorously for a silky texture.
