A refreshing frozen mango margarita slushie that combines tropical mango sweetness with lime and tequila for a perfect summer drink. Easy to make and perfect for warm-weather gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (300 grams) frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) tequila blanco
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons (1530 ml) agave syrup or honey
  • 1 cup (120 grams) ice cubes (optional)
  • Coarse salt for rimming the glass
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pour coarse salt onto a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass to moisten it, then dip the rim into the salt to coat. Set glasses aside.
  2. Squeeze fresh lime juice until you have about 1/4 cup (60 ml).
  3. Combine frozen mango chunks, tequila blanco, lime juice, triple sec, and agave syrup into a blender. Optionally add ice cubes for extra thickness.
  4. Pulse the blender at medium speed to break up large chunks, then blend on high until smooth and slushy, about 30-60 seconds.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more agave syrup or lime juice if needed. Blend briefly again if adjusted.
  6. Pour the slushie into salted glasses and garnish with a lime wedge.
  7. Serve immediately to enjoy the perfect icy texture.

Notes

If your blender struggles with frozen fruit, let the mango sit out for 5 minutes before blending. Avoid adding too much ice to prevent watering down the flavor. Use fresh lime juice for best taste. For alcohol-free version, omit tequila and triple sec and increase lime juice and agave syrup. Salt rim the glasses carefully to ensure salt sticks without sliding off.
