A festive fall cocktail combining apple cider, champagne, and caramel for a sweet and bubbly treat perfect for autumn gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2โ€“3 ounces (60โ€“90 ml) apple cider
  • Champagne or Prosecco
  • Caramel sauce
  • Brown sugar
  • Apple slices (red or green)
  • Optional: Ground cinnamon or nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Pour a small amount of caramel sauce onto a shallow plate. On a separate plate, spread an even layer of brown sugar. Dip the rim of your champagne flute into the caramel sauce, letting the excess drip off, then dip into the brown sugar for a sweet, crunchy coating.
  2. Pour 2โ€“3 ounces (60โ€“90 ml) of apple cider into the champagne flute. Adjust to taste depending on how sweet or tart you prefer your mimosa.
  3. Slowly pour champagne over the apple cider, filling the rest of the glass. Tilt the glass slightly to preserve the bubbles.
  4. Using a spoon, drizzle a small amount of caramel sauce over the top of the mimosa. Let it sink slightly for a dramatic effect.
  5. Add a thin apple slice to the rim or float it on top of the drink. Sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg if desired.

Notes

[‘Chill champagne and apple cider for maximum bubbles and flavor.’, ‘Pour champagne slowly to avoid spilling and losing bubbles.’, ‘Adjust sweetness by choosing a drier champagne if the cider is very sweet.’, ‘Prepare the caramel-sugar rim in advance for larger gatherings.’, ‘Fresh-pressed cider offers the boldest flavor, but store-bought works perfectly in a pinch.’]
