A refreshing blend of tart lemons, sweet oranges, and zesty limes, perfect for summer gatherings and lazy afternoons.

Ingredients

  • Fresh lemons
  • Oranges
  • Limes
  • Grapefruit (optional)
  • Granulated sugar
  • Water
  • Ice
  • Fresh herbs (optional, such as mint, basil, or rosemary)
  • Sparkling water (optional)

Instructions

  1. Roll lemons, oranges, and limes on the counter to loosen the juices. Slice them in half.
  2. Juice the citrus fruits using a juicer or by hand. Strain if pulp-free lemonade is preferred.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup sugar with 1 cup water. Heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Let cool.
  4. In a pitcher, combine the citrus juices, cooled syrup, and 4 cups of cold water. Stir well.
  5. Fill the pitcher with ice cubes to keep the lemonade chilled.
  6. Optional: Add fresh mint leaves, sliced citrus for decoration, or sparkling water for bubbles.
  7. Pour into glasses over ice and garnish with herbs or citrus wedges.

Notes

Taste as you go to adjust sweetness or acidity. Experiment with herbs or sparkling water for variations. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
