elderflower spritz - featured image

A light, floral, and refreshing cocktail made with elderflower liqueur, prosecco, and soda water. Perfect for summer gatherings or relaxing evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz elderflower liqueur (e.g., St-Germain)
  • 3 oz prosecco (dry or semi-dry)
  • 2 oz soda water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon or lime slices
  • Fresh mint
  • Optional: fresh berries like raspberries or strawberries

Instructions

  1. Chill your prosecco and soda water before starting.
  2. Fill your glass about halfway with ice cubes. Add a slice of lemon or lime and a sprig of fresh mint to the glass.
  3. Pour 2 oz (60 ml) of elderflower liqueur into your glass. Adjust the amount based on your preferred level of sweetness.
  4. Slowly pour 3 oz (90 ml) of prosecco over the liqueur. The bubbles will mix the drink naturally, so thereโ€™s no need to stir yet.
  5. Pour 2 oz (60 ml) of soda water into the glass to lighten the drink and add extra fizz.
  6. Use a bar spoon to gently stir the drink, being careful not to flatten the bubbles.
  7. Add a few fresh berries, an extra mint sprig, or a twist of citrus peel for a finishing touch. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

[‘Chill your prosecco and soda water well in advance for maximum refreshment.’, ‘Stir gently to preserve the bubbles.’, ‘Experiment with garnishes like rosemary, basil, or edible flowers for unique flavors.’, ‘Use dry or semi-dry prosecco for the best balance of sweetness.’]
