Irresistible Lemon Slush Recipe – Easy Summer Citrus Treat

lemon slush - featured image

A refreshing, icy, tangy, and sweet lemon slush thatโ€™s perfect for summer gatherings or a cool-down drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 medium lemons, juiced (about 3/4 cup of fresh lemon juice)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 4 cups ice cubes (crushed ice works best)
  • Optional: A pinch of salt or fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut the lemons in half. Using a juicer, extract the juice and strain out any seeds.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar with 1 cup of cold water until fully dissolved.
  3. Add the lemon juice, sugar-water mixture, and 4 cups of ice cubes to your blender. Blend on high for 30-40 seconds until the mixture is smooth and icy.
  4. Taste your slush and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed. Add more sugar if too tangy or a splash of water if too sweet.
  5. Pour into tall glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves, lemon slices, or a sprinkle of lemon zest. Serve immediately.

Notes

[‘Use fresh lemons for the best flavor.’, ‘Crushed ice blends faster and gives a smoother texture.’, ‘Chill serving glasses in the freezer for 10 minutes before serving for extra refreshment.’, ‘Donโ€™t overblend to avoid a watery texture.’]
