A cozy blend of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves that feels like a hug in a cup and tastes like autumn itself. This homemade version is customizable, healthier, and more budget-friendly than store-bought.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk (whole milk or almond, oat, or coconut milk for dairy-free option)
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree (unsweetened)
  • 12 tablespoons sugar (granulated sugar, brown sugar, or maple syrup)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 shot of espresso (30ml) or 1/4 cup (60ml) strong coffee
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Cinnamon (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup (240ml) milk, 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree, and 1-2 tablespoons sugar. Whisk gently over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Stir in 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Continue to heat the mixture until itโ€™s steamy but not boiling.
  3. Prepare your espresso or strong coffee. Youโ€™ll need about 1 shot of espresso (30ml) or 1/4 cup (60ml) strong coffee.
  4. Use a milk frother or blender to froth the pumpkin mixture until itโ€™s light and creamy. This step is optional but makes the latte feel extra luxurious.
  5. Pour the brewed espresso or coffee into your favorite mug. Slowly add the frothed pumpkin mixture on top.
  6. If desired, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or extra pumpkin pie spice for garnish.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy the comforting flavors of fall in every sip!

Notes

[‘Use fresh spices for better flavor.’, ‘Donโ€™t overheat the milk to prevent scalding.’, ‘Adjust sweetness to your preference.’, ‘Use quality coffee for the best taste.’, ‘A handheld frother or blender can be used to froth the milk.’]
