A refreshing and vibrant raspberry iced tea recipe that’s perfect for summer gatherings or relaxing by the pool. Naturally caffeine-free and customizable to suit your taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ยฝ cups fresh raspberries
  • 8 cups filtered water
  • 45 black tea bags
  • ยฝ cup sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Let them steep for 5-7 minutes.
  2. While the tea is steeping, prepare the raspberry syrup. In another saucepan, combine the raspberries, sugar (or honey), and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the raspberries break down and the mixture becomes syrupy (about 5 minutes).
  3. Strain the raspberry syrup through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl, pressing the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the seeds and pulp.
  4. Remove the tea bags from the steeped tea and pour the tea into a large pitcher. Add the remaining 4 cups of cold water.
  5. Stir in the raspberry syrup and the lemon juice. Taste and adjust the sweetness, adding more sugar or honey if desired.
  6. Refrigerate the iced tea for at least 1 hour to chill completely.
  7. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the raspberry iced tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and additional raspberries if desired.

Notes

[‘Donโ€™t over-steep the tea to avoid bitterness.’, ‘Adjust the sweetness to your preference.’, ‘Cool the tea properly for the best flavor.’, ‘Use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth for a smooth drink.’, ‘Experiment with flavors like orange juice or fresh ginger for a twist.’]
