A refreshing summer drink combining tart raspberries, cool mint, and lightly sweetened tea. Perfect for backyard barbecues, poolside lounging, or sunny afternoons.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 46 black tea bags
  • 23 tablespoons sugar or sweetener (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a kettle or saucepan until it reaches a rolling boil.
  2. Place black tea bags in a large pitcher or heatproof bowl. Pour the hot water over the tea bags and let them steep for 5-7 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool.
  3. In the bottom of your serving pitcher, add the raspberries and fresh mint leaves. Use a muddler or spoon to mash them lightly, releasing their juices and oils.
  4. Stir in sugar or your preferred sweetener while the tea is still warm, so it dissolves easily. Start with 2-3 tablespoons and adjust to taste.
  5. Add the cooled tea to the pitcher with the muddled raspberries and mint. Stir gently to combine. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld together.
  6. Fill glasses with ice and pour the Raspberry Mint Iced Tea over the top. Garnish with extra mint leaves and a few whole raspberries.

Notes

[‘Donโ€™t over-steep the tea to avoid bitterness.’, ‘Muddle raspberries and mint gently to extract flavor without breaking down the mint completely.’, ‘Cool the tea completely before adding ice to prevent dilution.’, ‘Experiment with tea varieties like green tea or herbal tea for unique flavor profiles.’]
