Sunset Strawberry Bliss

strawberry bliss - featured image

A creamy, fruity dessert featuring fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and a touch of citrus, perfect for summer gatherings or indulgent moments.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Powdered sugar (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull 2 cups (about 300g) of fresh strawberries. Slice them thinly and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, pour 1 cup (240ml) of heavy cream. Use an electric mixer to whip until soft peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip, as the cream can turn grainy.
  3. Gently fold 1 cup (240ml) of sweetened condensed milk into the whipped cream. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon of lemon zest. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. In your serving dish, start with a layer of the cream mixture. Add a layer of sliced strawberries. Repeat until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of strawberries on top.
  5. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together beautifully.
  6. Just before serving, add a few fresh mint leaves on top for an extra pop of color and freshness.

Notes

[‘Use cold cream and cold equipment for faster and fluffier whipped cream.’, ‘Let the dessert chill for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.’, ‘Pick ripe, aromatic strawberries for the best flavor.’, ‘Fold gently to maintain the airy texture of the whipped cream.’]
