This irresistible summer sangria recipe combines the bold flavors of red wine with the refreshing sweetness of fruit, making it the perfect companion for any summer gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) medium-bodied red wine (Merlot, Shiraz, or Cabernet Sauvignon)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) brandy
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Triple Sec
  • 2 tablespoons (25 g) sugar, honey, or agave syrup
  • Sliced fresh fruits (oranges, lemons, limes, apples, berries)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) club soda or lemon-lime soda
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Wash the fruits thoroughly. Slice the oranges, lemons, and limes into thin rounds. Dice the apples into small cubes and prepare any additional fruits like berries or peaches.
  2. In a large pitcher, pour in one bottle (750 ml) of red wine, 1 cup (240 ml) of orange juice, and 1/4 cup (60 ml) of lemon juice. Stir gently to mix.
  3. Add 1/4 cup (60 ml) of brandy and 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of Triple Sec. Stir to combine.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons (25 g) of sugar, honey, or agave syrup. Stir until fully dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
  5. Add the sliced fruits and berries into the pitcher. Gently press them with a wooden spoon to release their juices without crushing them entirely.
  6. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Just before serving, stir in 1 cup (240 ml) of club soda or lemon-lime soda for a bubbly finish.
  8. Fill glasses with ice and pour the sangria over. Ensure each glass gets a generous helping of fruit for presentation.
