A creamy, sweet, and boozy cocktail inspired by the nostalgic flavor of Lucky Charms cereal milk, perfect for brunches, parties, or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (60g) Lucky Charms cereal
  • 2 cups (480ml) whole milk
  • 2 oz (60ml) vanilla vodka
  • 1 oz (30ml) heavy cream
  • 1 oz (30ml) simple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional garnish: mini marshmallows or a few Lucky Charms on a skewer

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cereal milk (overnight, 8-12 hours): Pour 2 cups (480ml) of whole milk into a large jar or bowl. Add 2 cups (60g) of Lucky Charms cereal and stir gently. Cover and refrigerate overnight to allow the milk to absorb the cerealโ€™s flavors and colors.
  2. Strain the cereal milk (10 minutes): The next day, strain the milk through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean container, pressing gently to extract all the liquid. Discard or snack on the soggy cereal bits.
  3. Make the cocktail (5 minutes): Fill your cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Pour in 4 oz (120ml) of the strained cereal milk, 2 oz (60ml) vanilla vodka, 1 oz (30ml) heavy cream, and 1 oz (30ml) simple syrup. Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds until chilled and well mixed.
  4. Serve: Strain the mixture into your glass. Garnish with a few mini marshmallows or a skewer of Lucky Charms if desired.

Notes

Soak the cereal overnight for best flavor. Use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to avoid grainy texture. Shake cocktail vigorously with ice for a creamy texture. Keep cream cold until use. Adjust simple syrup to taste. For dairy-free, substitute milk with oat or almond milk and heavy cream with coconut cream. Non-alcoholic version: omit vodka and add vanilla extract plus extra simple syrup.
