Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup whole milk (240 ml) โ€“ or almond/oat milk for dairy-free option
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled (120 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla syrup
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon freeze-dried strawberries, ground into powder
  • 1 tablespoon freeze-dried blueberries, ground into powder
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream (120 ml), chilled โ€“ or coconut cream for vegan version
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: edible glitter or sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Brew and cool 1/2 cup (120 ml) strong brewed coffee; chill in fridge or freezer for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Grind 1 tablespoon each of freeze-dried strawberries and blueberries into powder using a spice grinder or mortar and pestle.
  3. In a blender, combine cooled coffee, 1 cup (240 ml) milk, 2 tablespoons vanilla syrup, and 1 tablespoon granulated sugar if desired. Add 1 cup ice cubes.
  4. Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds until smooth and creamy. Add more ice cubes and pulse if too watery.
  5. Pour a spoonful of strawberry powder onto inside walls of glass, swirling to create streaks; repeat with blueberry powder on opposite side.
  6. Pour blended frappuccino into glass over the colorful swirls.
  7. Whip 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream with 1 tablespoon powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract until soft peaks form (2-3 minutes).
  8. Spoon or pipe whipped cream over frappuccino; sprinkle with edible glitter or sprinkles if desired.
  9. Serve immediately with straw and spoon.

Notes

Use cold milk and cream for best texture. Do not overblend ice to avoid watery frappuccino. Whip cream until soft peaks form to prevent graininess. Grind freeze-dried fruit powders finely for even flavor and color. Adjust sweetness to taste. The frappuccino base can be made up to 24 hours ahead and stored in the fridge.
