A warm and cozy twist on the classic whiskey sour, featuring maple syrup, cinnamon, and a smooth whiskey kick. Perfect for chilly evenings or festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces (60 ml) whiskey (bourbon or rye)
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) pure maple syrup
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg white (optional, or use aquafaba for vegan option)
  • Ice (for shaking and serving)

Instructions

  1. Juice the lemon to get about 1 ounce (30 ml) of fresh lemon juice.
  2. In a shaker, combine whiskey, maple syrup, lemon juice, and a pinch of ground cinnamon.
  3. If using egg whites, add them to the shaker for a creamy texture.
  4. Add ice to the shaker until it is about half full and seal tightly.
  5. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds to chill the ingredients and froth the egg white (if using).
  6. Strain the cocktail into a glass using a fine-mesh strainer for a silky finish.
  7. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a cinnamon stick. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For a vegan option, use aquafaba instead of egg whites. Adjust the sweetness by reducing the maple syrup or adding more lemon juice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick or lemon zest for extra flair.
