This easy autumn brunch drink blends apple cider, cranberry juice, citrus, and cozy spices with fresh fruit for a festive, crowd-pleasing punch. It’s non-alcoholic, quick to make, and perfect for brunches, holidays, or cozy weekends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 2 cups cranberry juice (100% or cocktail)
  • 2 cups sparkling water or club soda, chilled
  • 1 cup orange juice (preferably fresh)
  • 1 fresh apple, thinly sliced (Honeycrisp or Gala recommended)
  • 1 fresh pear, thinly sliced (Bosc or Bartlett recommended)
  • 1 orange, sliced into rounds
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds (optional)
  • 23 cinnamon sticks
  • 68 whole cloves (optional)
  • 12 star anise (optional)
  • 12 tablespoons maple syrup or honey, to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and thinly slice the apple, pear, and orange (leave peels on for color and flavor).
  2. In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine apple cider, cranberry juice, and orange juice. Stir gently.
  3. Add the sliced apple, pear, orange, and pomegranate seeds (if using) to the juice mixture.
  4. Add cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and star anise (if using). Stir gently to distribute.
  5. Taste and add maple syrup or honey if the punch is too tart, starting with 1 tablespoon and adding more as needed.
  6. Just before serving, pour in the chilled sparkling water or club soda and stir gently to preserve the bubbles.
  7. Serve in glasses over ice if desired, making sure each glass gets some fruit. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, pomegranate seeds, or a rosemary sprig.

Notes

For best flavor, use chilled juices and add sparkling water just before serving. Adjust sweetness to taste and remove whole spices after 2-3 hours if making ahead to avoid overpowering the punch. For a festive touch, garnish with rosemary or apple cider ice cubes. Leftovers (without sparkling water) keep in the fridge for up to 2 days.
