A bright, bubbly, and festive non-alcoholic drink combining cranberry juice, fresh citrus, and sparkling water for a refreshing holiday mocktail.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cranberry juice, unsweetened or lightly sweetened
  • 1/4 cup (30 g) fresh cranberries, for garnish
  • 2 cups (480 ml) sparkling water or club soda, chilled
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh lemon juice (from half a lemon)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh orange juice (from a small orange), optional but recommended
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons (510 ml) honey or pure maple syrup, adjust to taste
  • A few sprigs of fresh mint leaves, for garnish
  • Ice cubes, as needed

Instructions

  1. Chill all ingredients, especially the sparkling water or club soda.
  2. Squeeze fresh lemon and orange juice into a mixing pitcher, removing any seeds.
  3. Add 1 cup (240 ml) cranberry juice and stir gently to combine with the citrus.
  4. Drizzle in 1 to 2 teaspoons (5-10 ml) honey or maple syrup and stir until dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  5. Fill serving glasses halfway with ice cubes.
  6. Slowly pour 2 cups (480 ml) chilled sparkling water or club soda into the pitcher or glasses. Stir gently to combine without losing bubbles.
  7. Garnish each glass with fresh cranberries and mint leaves.
  8. Serve immediately to enjoy the sparkling bubbles at their best.

Notes

Use freshly squeezed citrus juice for best flavor. Pour sparkling water gently and stir lightly to preserve bubbles. Adjust sweetness to taste. For a show-stopping presentation, rim glasses with sugar and a squeeze of lemon. Store cranberry-citrus base separately from sparkling water for up to 2 days in the fridge. Add sparkling water just before serving to keep fizz.
