A quick, creamy, and healthy smoothie made with frozen blueberries, ripe banana, Greek yogurt, and milk. Perfect for kids’ snacks or a nutritious breakfast on the go.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries (150g)
  • 1 medium ripe banana (about 120g)
  • ยฝ cup plain Greek yogurt (120ml)
  • ยพ cup milk (180ml) – any kind (whole, skim, almond, oat)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (21g) – optional
  • ยฝ teaspoon vanilla extract (2.5ml) – optional

Instructions

  1. Peel the banana and break it into chunks. Measure out the frozen blueberries, yogurt, milk, honey, and vanilla extract.
  2. Add the banana chunks, frozen blueberries, Greek yogurt, and milk into the blender. Blend on medium speed for about 30 seconds.
  3. Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula to make sure everything is evenly mixed. Continue blending for another 30 seconds or until the smoothie is smooth and creamy.
  4. Taste the smoothie. If itโ€™s not sweet enough, add the honey and vanilla extract. Blend again for 10-15 seconds to incorporate.
  5. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more milk (about 1 tablespoon or 15ml at a time) and blend briefly. If itโ€™s too thin, add a few more frozen blueberries or a small handful of ice cubes and blend.
  6. Pour into glasses or to-go cups and enjoy immediately for the best creamy texture.

Notes

Use ripe bananas with brown spots for natural sweetness and creaminess. Break up frozen blueberries before blending for even texture. Blend in stages and scrape down sides to avoid chunks. Adjust milk slowly to get desired consistency. Store in airtight container in fridge up to 24 hours; stir before serving.
