Aperol Spritz recipe - featured image

A bright, bubbly, and bittersweet Italian cocktail perfect for summer sipping, made with Aperol, Prosecco, and soda water. Ready in under 5 minutes with simple ingredients and easy preparation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 oz (90 ml) Aperol
  • 3 oz (90 ml) Prosecco
  • 1 oz (30 ml) soda water
  • Ice cubes (about 1 cup or 240 ml)
  • Orange slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Fill your glass with 5-6 large ice cubes (about 1 cup or 240 ml).
  2. Pour 3 ounces (90 ml) of Aperol over the ice.
  3. Gently pour 3 ounces (90 ml) of chilled Prosecco on top of the Aperol, pouring slowly to preserve bubbles.
  4. Add a splash of soda water, about 1 ounce (30 ml), to lighten the drink.
  5. Give it a gentle stir with a long spoon or cocktail stirrer to mix without losing carbonation.
  6. Garnish with a fresh orange slice on the rim or in the glass.
  7. Serve immediately while cold and bubbly.

Notes

Use plenty of ice to keep the drink cold without diluting it too fast. Pour Prosecco slowly down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles. Stir gently to avoid flattening the cocktail. Use fresh, cold ingredients for best results. Garnish with a fresh orange slice for aroma and visual appeal. Adjust soda water to taste for a lighter drink. Variations include adding rosemary, blood orange juice, or using non-alcoholic substitutes.
