Aperol Spritz Recipe - featured image

A quick and easy Italian summer cocktail combining Aperol, prosecco, and soda water for a crisp, bubbly, and bittersweet refreshment perfect for warm weather gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ounces (90 ml) Aperol
  • 3 ounces (90 ml) dry prosecco
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) soda water
  • Ice cubes (about 5 to 6 large cubes)
  • Orange slice for garnish
  • Optional: sprig of fresh rosemary or mint

Instructions

  1. Fill your glass with ice cubes โ€” about 5 to 6 large cubes or enough to fill the glass about halfway.
  2. Pour 3 ounces (90 ml) of Aperol over the ice.
  3. Add 3 ounces (90 ml) of chilled prosecco gently, pouring slowly down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles.
  4. Top with 1 ounce (30 ml) of soda water.
  5. Gently stir with a spoon or stirrer just once or twice to combine without losing bubbles.
  6. Garnish with a thin orange slice placed on the rim or floated on top.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Use large ice cubes to prevent dilution. Pour prosecco gently down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles. Avoid over-stirring to keep fizz. Use fresh orange slices for garnish to enhance aroma. For a low-alcohol version, replace prosecco with sparkling water or non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Prepare glassware and garnishes in advance for quick serving.
