A quick and easy tropical rum punch combining dark and coconut rums with pineapple and orange juices, grenadine, and fresh lime juice for a balanced, refreshing party drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) dark rum (e.g., Bacardi Dark)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) coconut rum (e.g., Malibu)
  • 2 cups (480 ml) pineapple juice (fresh or canned)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) orange juice
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) grenadine (e.g., Roseโ€™s grenadine)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice (about 34 limes)
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) simple syrup (optional)
  • Fresh pineapple chunks (for garnish)
  • Orange slices (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Chill your pitcher or punch bowl in the fridge for 10-15 minutes before mixing.
  2. Freshly squeeze about 3-4 limes to get 1/4 cup (60 ml) of lime juice.
  3. Pour 1 cup (240 ml) dark rum and 1/2 cup (120 ml) coconut rum into the chilled pitcher.
  4. Add 2 cups (480 ml) pineapple juice and 1 cup (240 ml) orange juice. Stir gently to blend.
  5. Add 2 tbsp (30 ml) grenadine and 2 tbsp (30 ml) simple syrup if desired. Stir to mix evenly.
  6. Pour in the freshly squeezed lime juice and stir again. Adjust sweetness with more simple syrup if too tart.
  7. Fill the pitcher about halfway with ice cubes to chill without diluting too fast.
  8. Garnish with fresh pineapple chunks and orange slices.
  9. Serve immediately over ice in glasses, optionally adding a sprig of fresh mint.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice for best flavor; avoid bottled lime juice. Chill pitcher before mixing to keep punch cold longer. Add ice last to avoid dilution. Stir gently to keep grenadine from settling. For a lighter version, reduce rum and add sparkling water or ginger ale. Store punch without ice in fridge up to 24 hours and stir before serving.
