A vibrant, nutrient-packed juice combining beets, apples, lemon, and ginger to help ease hangover symptoms and rehydrate your body quickly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium raw beets, peeled and chopped
  • 2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Fuji), cored and sliced
  • Juice of 1 fresh lemon
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold water
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes, for serving

Instructions

  1. Wash the beets and apples thoroughly. Peel and chop the beets into 1-inch pieces. Core and slice the apples into quarters. Peel and roughly chop the ginger.
  2. If using a juicer, feed the beets, apples, and ginger through it, collecting the juice in a jug. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir well.
  3. If using a blender, add chopped beets, apples, ginger, lemon juice, and 1 cup cold water to the blender jar.
  4. Blend on high speed until smooth and fully liquified, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Optional: Pour the blended juice through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove pulp for a silky texture.
  6. Taste the juice and stir in 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup if desired for extra sweetness.
  7. Serve immediately over a handful of ice cubes.

Notes

Peeling beets ensures smoother taste and cleaner color. Straining the juice is optional but recommended for silky texture. Fresh lemon juice cuts through beet earthiness and ginger helps with nausea. Store juice in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours and shake before serving. Avoid reheating; if desired, warm gently with a cinnamon stick.
