A quick and easy blueberry lemonade slushie perfect for hot days, combining fresh or frozen blueberries with lemonade and ice for a refreshing, tangy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (150g) fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup (240ml) fresh lemonade
  • 1 cup (240g) ice cubes
  • 12 tablespoons (15-30ml) honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • Mint leaves (a few sprigs, optional)

Instructions

  1. Measure out 1 cup (150g) of blueberries. If using fresh blueberries, rinse and pat dry. If frozen, no need to thaw.
  2. Place the blueberries, 1 cup (240ml) of lemonade, 1 cup (240g) of ice cubes, and 1 tablespoon (15ml) of fresh lemon juice into the blender.
  3. Add 1-2 tablespoons (15-30ml) of honey or maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter slushie.
  4. Pulse on high for about 30-45 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth and icy. Stop occasionally to scrape down the sides if needed.
  5. If the slushie is too thick, add a splash more lemonade or a little cold water and blend again. If too thin, add a few more ice cubes and blend briefly.
  6. Pour into a chilled glass, garnish with fresh mint leaves and a lemon slice if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use frozen blueberries for a thicker slushie texture without watering down the drink. Adjust sweetness carefully depending on the lemonade’s sugar content. Serve immediately for best texture. Leftovers can be stored refrigerated up to 24 hours but may separate; re-blend with ice before serving.
