A perfectly balanced summer punch combining sweet tea, ripe peach, and smooth bourbon. This crowd-pleasing drink comes together in under 15 minutes and is ideal for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups brewed black tea, cooled
  • 1 cup peach nectar or peach juice
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup simple syrup
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh peach slices, for garnish
  • Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Brew and cool your tea. Brew 4 cups of black tea using 4 tea bags. Steep for 5 minutes, then remove the bags. Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold.
  2. Make your simple syrup if needed. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves completely. Let it cool.
  3. Juice your lemons. Roll 2 lemons on the counter to soften them, then cut them in half and juice them. Strain out the seeds. You should get about 1/4 cup of juice.
  4. Combine the base ingredients. In your large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the cooled tea, peach nectar, bourbon, simple syrup, and lemon juice. Stir gently but thoroughly.
  5. Chill thoroughly. Refrigerate the punch for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Prepare your garnishes. Slice 1-2 peaches into thin rounds. Rinse and dry a handful of mint sprigs.
  7. Serve over ice. Fill each glass with ice, pour the punch over it, and garnish with a peach slice and a mint sprig.

Notes

Brew tea double-strength to avoid dilution. Don’t skip the lemon juiceโ€”it balances sweetness. Use large ice cubes to slow melting. For parties, make an ice ring with peach slices and mint. Prep the base a day ahead for best flavor.
