A creamy, subtly spiced iced turmeric latte that is refreshing, soothing, and perfect for warm weather or anytime you want a nourishing pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) milk of choice (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ยฝ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ยผ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 12 teaspoons honey or maple syrup
  • Optional: splash of vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Measure 1 cup (240 ml) of your chosen milk, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, ยฝ teaspoon ground ginger, ยผ teaspoon cinnamon, and a pinch of black pepper. Have 1-2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup ready.
  2. Pour the milk into a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper. Whisk gently but continuously for about 3-4 minutes until the mixture is warm but not boiling.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract if using. Taste and adjust sweetness or spice levels as preferred.
  4. Transfer the warm mixture to a blender and pulse for 20-30 seconds until frothy and smooth. If no blender is available, whisk vigorously for about a minute to incorporate air and break down any clumps.
  5. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  6. Slowly pour the blended golden milk over the ice. Optionally garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a tiny pinch of turmeric on top.

Notes

Heat milk and spices gently to avoid bitterness and clumping. Use black pepper to enhance turmeric absorption. For a frothier texture, blend the mixture. To keep the latte extra cold without dilution, freeze milk into ice cubes. Store the golden milk base in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat gently before serving.
