A bold and refreshing frozen mango margarita with a spicy Tajin chili salt rim, perfect for summer sipping and casual get-togethers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (300g) frozen mango chunks
  • 1 ยฝ cups (360ml) silver tequila
  • ยฝ cup (120ml) fresh lime juice
  • ยผ cup (60ml) triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) agave syrup or simple syrup
  • 2 cups (480ml) ice cubes
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) Tajin seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) coarse sea salt

Instructions

  1. Combine 2 tablespoons of Tajin seasoning with 2 tablespoons of coarse sea salt on a shallow plate and mix well.
  2. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass, then dip the rims into the Tajin salt mixture to coat evenly. Set aside to dry slightly.
  3. Juice fresh limes to extract about ยฝ cup (120ml) of lime juice.
  4. In a blender, combine frozen mango chunks, silver tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and ice cubes.
  5. Blend starting on low speed, then increase to high for 30-45 seconds until smooth and slushy.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or consistency by adding more agave syrup, lime juice, or a splash of cold water if needed.
  7. Pour the margarita into the prepared glasses carefully to preserve the chili salt rim.
  8. Garnish with a lime wedge or a small mango slice if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

If blender struggles with frozen mango, let it thaw for 5 minutes but keep it cold for best texture. Use fresh lime juice for optimal flavor. Adjust sweetness after blending. Chill glasses before rimming for better Tajin salt adhesion. Store leftovers in airtight container in freezer and stir before serving again. Do not store with chili salt rim applied.
